Customer Symptom
Front Washer pump does not operate.
Fault Effects (On Vehicle)
Front Washer Pump will not come ON
Lamp Status (If Any)
NA
Fault Detection Condition
This fault gets logged by BCM; if signal stuck low
condition is detected for front washer switch.
Normal Operating Condition
If the IGN is ON then front wash pump shall turn ON
immediately after pressing the front washer switch.
Probable Trouble Area
1. BCM connector Fault
2. Cockpit Front washer switch input wire Short to
ground
3. Switch damaged or stuck
4. BCM ECU fault
Healing Condition
1. Ignition OFF
ON
2. Operate front washer switch from Off
On
Off
3. Clear DTC Command
Component Details:
Front Washer switch is part of Combi switch. If the IGN is ON and user presses the front washer switch,
front washer pump will turn ON.
Preliminary Checks:
1. Check Battery Voltage (12.5 V & above)
2. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage.
Trouble Shooting:-
