Normal vehicle
setup
start
Connect Diagnostic tool and Read
DTC. Switch ON front wash and read
DTC.
Is DTC
B2238-12
NO
YES
Stop
Remove Vehicle Battery connections.
(Please follow safety guidelines)
1) Remove BCM connector and check for backout/ pins
bend/ damages.
Yes
Check continuity between
1) BCM connector A pin 51 and Connector A pin 9 in the harness
connector
2) BCM connector A pin 51 and Connector C pin 1/ 2 in the
harness connector
Yes
Correct the wiring
harness short and open
circuit.
Yes
Any fault
observed
Correct the fault
No
Any continuity
observed
No
Is the rear
defogger working
properly
No
B2238-12 Rear defogger switch circuit short to
BATT
Remove the Fascia switch and
connect other working fascia switch.
Do all the initial vehicle setup(vehicle
batt connection etc)
Replace
the ECU
