B2242 – 11: Right front fog Lamp circuit –Short To Ground

START

Connect Diagnostic tool and check for DTCs

Is DTC B2242-11

present?

STOP

Check DTC present is Permanent or Historic

Is History?

1. Clear the DTC from memory

2. Turn the IGN to OFF

3. Start the IGN

Is DTC B2242-

11 present?

YES

Disconnect vehicle battery connection.

(Please follow the safety guidelines)

Check BCM and right front fog lamp

connectors for terminal backout

Are connectors

loose?

Reconnect

connectors firmly

YES

1.Remove BCM side wiring harness Connector.

2.Perform visual check of connectors for pins bent or

damaged etc.

Is connector

faulty?

Correct connector fault

(Terminals Bend)

YES
