8. Check for Wiring Dis-continuity between Brake Pedal Switch & EMS ECU. If found, fix them
Trouble Shooting:
Step Checks
IF YES
IF NO

Check for any other faults presence related to ECU Internal
power supplies / Accelerator pedal sensor / Brake Pedal
Sensor.
Follow rectification
process for the
faults, before
proceeding further
Go to Step 2

Clear the Fault and Request User to drive the Vehicle and
observe his operation of Brake Pedal and Acc. Pedal. Is he
pressing both pedals simultaneously.
Brief him about his
wrong driving style
and convey him the
correct driving style
Go to Step 3

Check for electrical continuity between ECU to Accelerator
Pedal sensor connector as per the circuit schematic.
Continuity exists?
Go to Step 3
Establish continuity
by rectifying
harness
connections as per
the circuit
schematic

Check for electrical continuity between ECU to Brake Pedal
sensor connector as per the circuit schematic. Continuity
exists?
Go to next step
Establish continuity
by rectifying
harness
connections as per
the circuit
schematic

Are there any pins damaged at EMS ECU Connector or
Accelerator Pedal Sensor / Brake pedal switch connector?
Replace the
connector or wiring
harness
Go to step 4

Are there any pins backed out from the EMS ECU
Connector or Accelerator pedal sensor connector or Brake
pedal switch connector?
Rectify/Replace
Connectors
Go to Step 5

Accelerator Pedal moving freely?
Go to next step
Perform necessary
mechanical repairs

Brake Pedal moving freely
Go to next step
Perform necessary
mechanical repairs

Fault Persists?
Call Hot line.
Follow the steps
again for
reconfirmation
DTC’s confirmation:
After rectification, Test Drive the vehicle for 2 KM and ensure that no DTC’s are logged in ECM.
