ENGINE 1.3 QUADRAJET (75PS)

3A.1.2.2.4 CYLINDER HEAD – OVERHAUL

1. Position the camshaft housing (1a) in a vice using

the tool (1b) 287158900624 (Mount).

2. Remove the bolts (1a) and remove the vacuum unit

(1b).

3. Remove the gasket (2).

4. Remove the bolts (3a) and remove the pressure

pump (3b) complete with O-ring. Remove the joint

(4).

5. Remove the bolt (1a) and remove the cam angle

sensor (1b).

6. Temporarily remove the tool 287158900655

(Template) fitted previously on the exhaust side

camshaft.

7. Check that the camshaf t end float is within the

recommended values of 0.15 mm ~ 0.34 mm

using a dial gauge..

8. If the camshaf t end float is not within the

recommended values, replace the worn

components when reassembling the cylinder

head.

9. Remove plug (1a) and fit tool 287158900655

(Template) (1b) on the intake side camshaft.
