8.9.9 DOOR SWITCHES (

FRONT & REAR

)

FUNCTION:

Door switch is switched on or off in response to

opening and closing of doors. Interior roof lamps

are also turned on or off in response to the door

switch input or selectively by manual operation.

LOCATION:

It is fitted on body side outer panel.

REMOVAL:

1. Remove the pillar trim and disconnect the

electrical connection. (Refer body section for

trim removal refitment procedure)

2. Remove one mounting screw.

3. Take out the switch along with pigtail.

INSPECTION:

Same as tailgate switch.

REFITMENT:

1. Locate the switch into the slot provided on the

panel

2. Fit one mounting screw.

Tightening torque for screw - 0.65 Kgfm.

3. Connect the electrical connection.

NOTE:

Use the anti-rattle bags on connector to avoid

rattling noise.

4. Fit the pillar trim.

NOTE:

Same procedure is applicable for all door switches.
