GEAR BOX DISMANTLING ON BENCH
PROCEDURE:
(For 4X2 and 4X4 vehicles)
1. Disconnect electrical connections.
A.
For 4X4
vehicle remove the extension box
support and transfer case before on bench
procedure.
2. Remove the magnetic drain plug and drain the
gearbox oil.
3. Remove the clutch release bearing and clutch
release fork. (Refer clutch removal procedure)
4. Loosen and remove clutch-housing hexagonal
nuts and separate the clutch housing from the
gearbox.
5. Loosen and remove the mounting bolts (3No’s)
of gearbox tubular cross member and
extension box support.
6. Loosen and remove both extension shift link
rod bolts and table spiral pin.
