FRONT AXLE (4X4)

3. Remove the circlip which locks the axle shaft

in the disconnect housing. For removal of

circlip use circlip plier or any other suitable

tool.

NOTE

Tool should not damage the splines on the axle

shaft this affects the disconnect operation.

4. Pull out the axle shaft from wheel end side of

the disconnect housing.

NOTE

The shaft is loaded with thrust washer. Remember

the sequence of their fitting. Also replace the bush

pressed on side with new one while assembly.

5. Remove the shifter sleeve and Thrust washer

from disconnect housing and slide out the

intermediate shaft from wheel end side of the

disconnect housing.

6. Remove the bearing with help of bearing puller

(Part No 287058903307)

through disconnect

housing wheel end side bore.

NOTE

Discard the bearing if damaged or worn out.

ASSEMBLY

1. Install the Disconnect Housing Bearing on

Bearing

Pressing

dolly

(Part

No.287058903306)

and press the same while

locating through the oil seal bore in the

disconnect housing.

NOTE

Ensure that the bearing is pressed properly from

disconnect housing face..
