Satisfactory operation of thermostat is very much
essential for
l
Efficient engine operation
l
Longer engine life.
Defective thermostat may cause
l
Over cooling due to thermostat valve sticking in
full open position.
l
Over heating due to thermostat valve sticking in
partial/full closed condition.
When above defects are observed, thermostat needs
checking.
Thermostat removal and re-fitment
Removal
Remove the thermostat housing cover by removing
the screws. (Fig. 195 & 196)
