Inspect plates and discs for wear and scoring.

Note:

If any one member of either stock shows

evidence of excessive wear or scoring, the complete

stock is to be replaced on BOTH sides.

Inspect gear teeth of side gears and pinion mate

gears for wear and possible cracks.

Inspect external teeth of side gear for wear or crack.

Note:

If replacement of one gear is required, then

BOTH side gears, pinion mate gears and

washers are to be replaced.

Inspect cross pin for excessive wear. Replace if

necessary.

Inspect for wear on clutch retainer clip.

Note:

Replace all four clips if wear is evident on

any one of the retainer clips.

Inspect differential case for scoring, wear or metal

pick up. If it is evident on the machined surfaces,

then replacement of the case is necessary.

Pre lubricate the thrust face of the side gears and

the plates and discs.
