4. REMOVAL/DISMANTLINGPROCEDURE
4A. REMOVAL OF FRONT WHEELS
l
Place wheel chokes on both sides of rear wheels
to secure the vehicle against any movement.
l
Slightly loosen the front wheel nuts.
l
Keep the jack below the long member, behind
front wheel and jack up (Fig.4). Support the frame
long member behind the front wheel with suitable
support.
l
Similarly jack up other side and support the long
member.
l
Unscrew and remove the wheel nuts.
l
Remove the front wheels.
48. REMOVAL OF FRONT ANTIROLL BAR
(Fig. 2)
l
Unscrew and remove the nuts holding the antiroll
bar to the bracket on lower wishbone and remove
the bolt, cups, sleeve and rubber bushes (Fig.5).
l
Unscrew and remove the hex. screws holding the
antiroll bar bearing block (rubber) and lamp with
the bracket on chassis frame long member.
l
Remove the bearing block (rubber) and clamp
from the antiroll bar assembly.
l
Take out the antiroll bar.
4C. REMOVAL OF FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER
(Fig.3)
l
Unscrew and remove the nyloc nut holding the
shock absorber top (Fig.6). Remove the spacer
and bush.
l
Unscrew and remove the bolt connecting the
shock absorber bottomwith mounting bracket on
lower wishbone.
l
Compress the shock absorber and remove it.
