FUELSYSTEM2.2LDICOR

FUELSYSTEMCOMPONENTS:

CommonRail

It is a fuel reservoir having an integrated rail pressure

sensor. (Fig. 3)

Feature: 1600 bar operating pressure

NOTE

Whenever fuel rail is removed from the Engine, always

cover the inlet and outlet openings of the rail with

the protective caps.

INJECTOR

(Fig. 4)

Solenoid operated Injectors capable of fuel injection

at very high pressures with desired quantity and with

desired injection advance. Injector is clamped with a

claw. The injector is electronically controlled. It allows

multiple injections with short intervals between each

injections.

NOTE

Injectors not to be inter changed in field during service

since individual injector characterization is different

and I2C no. of each injector is fed to the ECU during

engine assembly.

Features:

1600 bar operating pressure

Fast solenoid actuator

2 pilot injections and 1 main injection

The Injectors have to be removed in case of the

following reasons

Compression pressure in each cylinder needs to

be checked for any possible reason like high

engine oil consumption, high blow by, low power

and pickup.

In case cylinder head has to be removed and

disassembled.

If Injectors are damaged due to dust entry in the

high pressure fuel system. In this case replace the

injectors.

NOTE

Replace the clamp mounting screw and washer

every time it is removed.

Remove the injectors with sealing copper washer

one by one. If the Injector is stuck in the bore do

not use a pulling tool as it may damage the nozzle

holder.

If the sealing washer is still in the injector holder

well, use extractor to remove it.
