PROCEDURE FOR COOLANT DRAIN FOR

TATA NANO (HVAC VERSION)

Requirements :

Regulated air supply at 1 bar (gauge)

pressure.

Please follow the below described procedure step-by-

step;

1) Position the vehicle on a horizontal level ground /

surface / car lift.

2) Allow the engine to cool down close to ambient

temperature.

3) Open the radiator pressure cap (Fig. A) & loosen

the radiator drain plug (Fig. B) to drain the coolant

in the suitable vessel/tray.

5) Disconnect the recovery bottle vent hose at the

radiator filler neck side (Fig. D) and drain the coolant

from recovery bottle in the suitable vessel/tray.

4) Loosen the de-aeration port (Fig. C) located near

the heater which can be accessed by opening the

bonnet at the front of vehicle to drain further coolant

from HVAC circuit through radiator drain plug.

6) Tighten the radiator pressure cap and also re-

connect the recovery bottle vent hose.

7) Remove the de-aeration vent plug fromHVAC de-

aeration port and fit the special adaptor as shown

in (Fig. E) on the de-aeration port for applying

compressed air to drain coolant fromHVAC circuit.
