GENERAL

1.4 TAILGATE REMOVAL AND REFITMENT

1. Remove high mount stop light cover by remov-

ing two screws on each side of cover.

2. Disconnect wiring harness connection.

3. Remove high mount stop light by removing two

screws.

4. Remove lamp harness routed inside the tail-

gate.

5. Remove four mounting bolts securing tailgate

assembly to the body and take out tailgate as-

sembly. (Each two bolts are located on either

side of tailgate).

Re-fitment of tailgate:

1. Align the tailgate on body and tighten four

mounting bolts to specified torque.

TIGHTENING TORQUE FOR TAILGATE BOLTS =

1 Kg-m.

NOTE:

2. Proper handling is required while aligning the

tailgate.

3. Insert wiring harness for high mount stop light

with the help of wire. Fit high stop lamp and its

cover back to its position using screws provid-

ed.
