7. Measure the backlash using a dial gauge; it should
be within 0.0 ~ 0.1 mm. Backlash can be adjusted
varying the bevel gear washers.
8. Insert the dowel sleeve, to lock the spider to the
cage.
Note:
•
Bevel gears and bevel pinions are interchangeable
as a set only and not individually.
•
Make sure that the Bevel gears and pinions are
rotating.
9. Place the speed gear on the cage, such that the
teeth face towards differential gear.
10. Fit the ball bearings on both ends using Tool no.
2834 5890 26 05 DRIFT FOR FITMENT OF
DIFFERENTIAL BEARING, Make sure that the
stamped side should project upwards.
