Failure -
General
Electrical Failure
1) Short circuit at torque
sensor supply wire.
1) Check connector damaged / cable
damaged for torque sensor to ECU on
steering column, if cable / connectors
are not OK than replace the steering
column.
2) Check ECU side connector pin
bend /damage than if pins are not ok
than replace the ECU.
3) Reset the ECU. Remove the power
supply plug connector from ECU and
reconnect after about 5 minutes.
if DTC are still persist than replace
steering column.

Information
1) Internal ECU failure in
EEPROM.
1) Reset the ECU. Remove the power
supply plug connector from ECU and
reconnect after about 5 minutes.
2) If new software available then carry
out the software update (Reflash the

position sensor signal lines
1) Check wiring Connections &
connectors of power supply if
damaged than Replace the vehicle
wiring harness or connector.
2) Remove the power supply
connector and check the voltage (+12
V at connector which is directly from
the battery). If connector Voltage <
9V, check the battery.
If error still persists replace the ECU
