STEERING

C. INTERMEDIATE SHAFT (BOTTOMCOLUMN)

REMOVAL

1. Remove the stone guard (

For procedure refer

stone guard removal procedure in Body section

)

2. Remove the steering column lower cover and

hush panel

(For procedure refer Body section.)

3. Disconnect the intermediate shaft from the top

column.

4. Loosen and remove four mounting bolts of bel-

low.

5. Loosen and remove the steering column bolt

between Intermediate shaft and rack and pinion

assembly (RAP).

6. Pull out the I-shaft assembly from the cabin.

FITMENT

For fitment follow the reverse procedure of removal.

NOTE

Before fitment apply 4 to 5 grams of multi purpose

lithium based grease between bellow and steering

column I-shaft.
