Remove Diffshaft:
Clamp anyone (LH/RH) of axle shafts in vice
firmly.
Caution:
Vice jaws should not locate on axle Splines or any
machined surfaces.
Install differential case on axle shaft.
To remove side gears and pinion mate gears,
rotate the side gears. This will allow the pinion
mate gears to turn to opening of the case.
Remove pinion mate gears and spherical washers
behind the gears. Lift outside gears and thrust
washers.
Inspect all parts, including the machined surfaces
of the case itself. Where necessary, replace all
worn parts.
If excessive wear is noticed on all parts, it is
recommended that the complete differential
assembly to be replaced.
If any gears are to be replaced, they must be
replaced as sets.
