The Catalytic converter should not be dropped

from a height. If dropped, it should not be used.

All these can keep the ‘EGR’ open when not

desired and vice versa. Either way these can seri-

ously affect power output of the engine and also the

emission levels.

! CAUTION

The Catalytic converter should not be

dropped from a height. If dropped, it should not be

used.

3.1.8.1.4.2 ON VEHICLE REPAIRS

A. POST SILENCER AND INTERMEDIATE PIPE

REMOVAL

1. Loosen and remove the mounting bolts

(1)

and

disconnect the twin pipe assembly along with the

post silencer from Intermediate pipe

(rear)

Re-

move the two rubber hanger and then take out

the twin pipe assembly along with post silencer.

2. Loose and remove the mounting bolts

(2)

from

main silencer end and remove the Intermediate

pipe assembly.

FITMENT

For fitment follow the reverse procedure

of removal

B. MAIN SILENCER

REMOVAL

1. Remove the mounting bolts from the rear end of

middle pipe assy.

2. Disconnect the Intermediate pipe connection by

removing there mounting bolts & remove rubber

hangers

(4 Nos.)

take out the Main silencer as-

sembly.

FITMENT

For fitment follow reverse procedure of re-

moval.
