Circuit Short to Battery or
open
This fault gets logged if the 2H mode
switch input pin of EMS ecu is short
circuited to Battery or open
1.
4L lamp will be continuously OFF
2.
Torque limitation will be active
1.
Check the continuity between the EMS ecu Pin 240, 215 and
152 of EMS ecu to Drive mode selector rotary switch
connector.
2.
Check whether the the EMS pins 240 is Short circuited to
Battery or open circuited. If so, rectify the wiring harness
connections as per the schematic.
3.
Check whether the EMS pins 240, 152 are short circuited
between each other. If so, rectify the wiring harness
connections as per the schematic.
4.
Check whether the pin 215 of EMS ecu is short circuited to
Ground.
5.
Check for any faults in ESOF ecu and rectify them by following
their rectification procedure.
6.
If fault still persists then replace the mode selector switch.
7.
repeat the above procedure for reconfirmation.

This fault gets logged if the 4L mode
switch input pin of EMS ecu is short
circuited to Ground or open
1.
4L lamp will be continuously OFF
2.
Torque limitation will be active
1.
Check the continuity between the EMS ecu Pin 240, 215 and
152 of EMS ecu to Drive mode selector rotary switch
connector.
2.
Check whether the the EMS pins 215 is Short circuited to
Ground. If so, rectify the wiring harness connections as per the
schematic.
3.
Check whether the EMS pins 240, 215 are short circuited
between each other. If so, rectify the wiring harness
connections as per the schematic.
4.
Check whether the pin 152 of EMS ecu is short circuited to
Battery.
5.
Check for any faults in ESOF ecu and rectify them by following
their rectification procedure.
6.
If fault still persists then replace the mode selector switch.
7.
Repeat the above procedure for reconfirmation.
