CE lamp SC to VBatt fault
This DTC gets logged due to short
circuit to VBatt fault of the CE lamp
driver output of EMS ecu
CE lamp indication on Instrument
cluster will be OFF during bulb check
at Ignition ON and it will not turn ON
even when CE lamp related fault is
present.
1.
Check electrical continuity between EMS ECU pin 238 to
Dashboard cluster connector as per circuit schematic; follow
electrical continuity check procedure, Replace/rectify harness
if required.
2.
Check whether the EMS ecu pin 238 is SC to Battery supply.
3.
Check whether any other faults are present in EMS. If so,
rectify them by following their rectification procedure.
4.
If fault still persists then check whether EMS ecu is getting
Power supply and ground connections.
5.
Confirmatory check after rectification Check: Check whether the
CE lamp indication is ON during bulb check at Ignition ON and
going OFF after 3 sec of Ignition ON.

This DTC gets logged due to open
circuit fault of the CE lamp driver output
of EMS ecu
CE lamp indication on Instrument
cluster will be OFF during bulb check
at Ignition ON and it will not turn ON
even when CE lamp related fault is
present.
1.
Check electrical continuity between EMS ECU pin 238 to
Dashboard cluster connector as per circuit schematic; follow
electrical continuity check procedure, Replace/rectify harness
if required.
2.
Check whether the EMS ecu pin 238 is SC to Battery supply /
Ground.
3.
Check whether any other faults are present in EMS. If so,
rectify them by following their rectification procedure.
4.
If fault still persists then check whether EMS ecu is getting
Power supply and ground connections.
5.
Confirmatory check after rectification Check: Check whether the

Glow Plug lamp short
circuit to ground fault
This DTC gets logged due to short
circuit to Ground fault of the glow plug
lamp driver output of EMS ecu
Start ability problem. (Torque
increase during start up if start fails).
1.
Check electrical continuity between EMS ECU pin 241 to
Dashboard cluster connector as per circuit schematic; follow
electrical continuity check procedure, Replace/rectify harness
if required.
2.
Check whether the EMS ecu pin 241 is SC to GND.
3.
Check whether any other glow plug related faults are present in
EMS. If so, rectify them by following their rectification
procedure.
4.
If fault still persists then check whether EMS ecu is getting
Power supply and ground connections.
5.
Confirmatory check after rectification Check: Check whether the
Glow Plug lamp indication is ON during bulb check at Ignition
ON and going OFF after 3 sec of Ignition ON.
