P1259
Rail pressure
control error -
IMV current trim
too high.
M
1. Engine vibration / abnormal noise
2. Cylinder balancing is disabled.
3. Reduced torque mode activated.
This DTC gets logged if the
Rail pressure trim is hi than
the calibrated value in the
absence of any rail
pressure related faults.
1. Check for the presence of
fault codes P0251; P0192
and P0193.
2. Check the LP circuit.
3. Check the HP circuit.
4. Check the Injector.
5. Check the HP pump.
6. Check ECU.
1. Check adequate fuel is available in the tank.
2. Check there is no air entry in to the low pressure
fuel line.
3. Ensure fuel filter is not clogged.
4. Ensure there is no leakage in the high pressure
fuel line.
5. Check & ensure connector for proper fitment
6. Check for the presence of fault codes P0251;
P0192 and P0193; P0194; if noticed follow the
check procedures for the fault codes P0251; P0192
and P0193; P0194.
7. Check the LP circuit; Refer LP circuit check and
rectification procedure.
8. Check the HP circuit; Refer HP circuit check and
rectification Procedure.
9. Check the Injectors; Follow Injector check and
rectification procedure.
10. Check the HP pump; Rectify/replace HP pump if
found faulty.
11. Check ECU; Replace ECU if problem still
persists.
12. After rectification ensure the following before
handing over to customer.
a) Rail pressure at ignition key on is < 10 bar
b) By removing the rail pressure sensor connector
shows rail pressure value of 800 bar.
c) High pressure leak detection test can be
carried out.
d) Please drive the vehicle on road; check and
ensure rail pressure feed-back follows the
demand continuously.

Fuel Volume
regulator control
(IMV) circuit

ce.
M
Engine noise.
This fault gets logged when
IMV is not able to control
rail pressure.
1. Ensure IMV connector is
properly connected to the
IMV.
2. There is no mud; dirt;
foreign particle accumulation
on the connector.
3. Check electrical continuity
of wiring harness between
ECU and IMV as per circuit
schematics correct if
necessary.
4. Check wiring harness
resistance
5. Check IMV internal
resistance; it should not
exceed 5.3 ohm.
6. Replace ECU if problem
persists
7. After rectification perform
actuator test for IMV and
ensure the result is positive.
1. Ensure IMV connector is properly connected to
the IMV.
2. There is no mud; dirt; foreign particle
accumulation on the connector.
3. Check electrical continuity of wiring harness
between ECU and IMV as per circuit schematics
correct if necessary.
4. Check wiring harness resistance.
5. Check IMV internal resistance; it should not
exceed 5.3 ohm.
6. Replace ECU if problem persists.
7. After rectification perform actuator test for IMV
and ensure the result is positive.
