P1120
Pedal position
sensor -AD
fault.
H
No critical effect.
This DTC gets logged due
to fault registered in the AD
convertor in the ECU.
1. Check for Reference
voltage 1 fault or If P0120 is
present.
2. Check sensor connections
for rust dirt etc.
3. Check Intermediate
connector.
4. Visually check sensor.
5. Check Electrical continuity.
6. Check ECU.
1. Check by erasing the fault once or twice.
2. If the problem keeps on repeating replace ECU.

P0122
Throttle/Pedal
Position
Sensor/Switch
“A” Circuit Low.
H
1. Pedal reduction (P1121) is set.
2. EGR is disabled.
1. This DTC gets logged
because of Track 1 counts
read by the sensor is less
than lower threshold.
2. Pedal connector is
removed from the sensor.
1. Check for Reference
voltage 1 fault or If P1120 is
present.
2. Check sensor connections
for rust dirt etc.
3. Check Intermediate
connector.
4. Visually check sensor.
5. Check Electrical continuity.
6. Check ECU.
1. Check for Reference voltage 2 fault (P0652;
P0653) if present; Follow Reference voltage1
(sensor supply voltage1) check rectification
Procedure to correct this fault before proceeding
further.
2. Check whether the EMS ecu pin 37 is short
circuited to ground. If so rectify the wiring harness
connections.
3. Check sensor connections for rust dirt etc.; if
noticed clean the sensor connections and ensure
proper fitment of the connector.
4. Check Intermediate connector; Remove
Intermediate connector between EMS harness and
vehicle wiring harness. Check for terminal back out.
Do necessary repairs reconnect and check the
fault.
5. Visually check sensor; Replace sensor if
damaged.
6. Check Electrical continuity between ECU pins 78,
37, 16 and Acc. pedal connector as per circuit
schematic; Follow Electrical continuity check
procedure. Rectify the wiring harness connections if
any discontinuity is found.
7. Check ECU; if problem still persists; Replace
ECU.
8. After rectification ensure the following checks
before handing over the vehicle to customer.
a) When pedal is not pressed - Pedal position in
tata diagnostic tool should be close to 0%.
b) When the pedal is fully pressed - Pedal
position in tata diagnostic tool should be close
to 100%.
