13. Park Assist System maintenance:
1. Regularly clean sensors located on the bumper. Use smooth cloth or material which can’t make any
scratch on the sensor. Don’t apply heavy force while cleaning.
2. Don’t flush water on sensors with heavy pressure. This will damage sensor.
3. Don’t apply external colors, styling stickers, chewing gums, or any material which will stick on the
sensors. This will degrade park assist performance.
4.
Don’t put any spare tyre or foot rest or number plate which will cover sensor surface.
14. Park Assist System Architecture:
Note:
RVC – May or May not applicable. Applicability is completely depends on vehicle feature list. PDC work
independent of RVC.
PDC Activation Switch – In some vehicle variant “Park Button” on Fascia switch may not available. However
that will not affect PDC functionality.
The PDC system shall be powered from the ignition line of the vehicle (KL15)
PDC ECU shall be in OFF state if Ignition is made OFF. PDC ECU shall draw 0mA in PDC OFF state
as complete PDC system is not powered during Ignition OFF.
PDC ECU shall be connected to vehicle via CAN.
Hardwired input for the reverse gear signal needs to be protected in case to be used as a reverse
gear ON signal (logic High to Battery voltage)
In particular vehicle variants, PDC will receive only one type of reverse gear indication signal either
hardwired reverse gear signal or CAN based reverse gear signal. The type of reverse gear indication
to PDC is depends on the PDC Calibration file for production software releases (parameter
Transmission Type) or EOL DID parameter for development software releases (Transmission Type).
In the software following logic is followed:
If the parameter “Transmission Type” = Automatic,
Then -Reverse gear info shall be taken from CAN signal “CurGearTcu”
Else - Reverse gear info shall be taken from the hard wired input.
