3. COMMON PROBLEM CAUSES OR PRE-DIAGNOSTIC INSPECTION:

Verify that the transaxle fluid level is at the proper cold fill level.

Inspect the exterior of the transaxle for evidence of fluid leaks.

Inspect the exterior of the transaxle for mechanical issues, such as improper shift cable routing or loose

mounting bolts.

NOTE:

If a fluid with anti-friction additive is used in a C-635 transaxle the synchronizers will fail, requiring

synchronizer replacement.

DIFFICULT SHIFTER OPERATION

1. The engagement of the gears is difficult in every condition.

any

obstruction

of

the

shifter.

Check the routing of the

shifter cables and the

attachment

to

the

cables

transmission

of the control cables.
