P220017:- KL30 (12V LV supply to OBC) Over Voltage
Overview:-
ISO Code (If applicable)
P220017
Customer Symptom
NA
Fault Effect (On Vehicle)
OBC will stop charging HV battery
Lamp Status (If Any)
NA
DTC Detection Condition
DTC gets logged if OBC LV Supply voltage is greater than 16.5±0.33V
Normal Operating Condition
OBC supply voltage in the range of 7.5V to 16.5V
Probable Trouble Area
1. LV battery voltage is too high
2. Voltage sensor inside OBC is failed
3. A/D inside OBC is failed
4. DC-DC Coverter high output voltage
Healing Condition
Disconnect the gun and connect back after VCU sleeps
Write up for
the system:-
The on-board charger (OBC) takes AC input and converts it to direct current to charge a HV battery. The LV supply of OBC is
from 12V battery. It requires AC HV supply voltage of 230V, 50Hz to charge the HV battery. Without the LV supply charging is
not possible.
Pre-Check Points:-
KL 30
12V LV supply to OBC
KL 31
LV/Chassis ground to OBC
a)
Check for design intended LV Battery
b)
Check LV Battery voltage to be in range (7.5V - 14V)
