12. DO’S AND DON’T’S FOR DRIVE SHAFT

DO’S

1. While inserting Driveshaft into TA, Do ensure lock ring end sharp edge not touches to oil Boot leap.

2. Do ensure specific tightening torque as per drawing for intermediate shaft bracket.

3. Do ensure proper alignment of driveshaft in Transaxle

4. Do ensure grease availability on oil Boot lip

5. Do ensure no cut oil Boot lip at the time driveshaft rework, or else replace with new one

6. Do ensure axially aligned fitment of driveshaft in TA to avoid further damage

DONT’S

1. Don’t Fit oil Boot in misaligned condition, use dolly

2. While removing driveshaft avoid damage to boot and oil Boot by any tool

3. Don’t overtight fasteners.
