7.

Remove the four mounting bolts from fuel tank

mounting straps and lower fuel tank gradually

until electrical connector of Fuel Delivery

Module and passive side suction unit can be

reached to disconnect.

8. Disconnect the electrical connections of the in-

tank pump and the fuel lines.

(For removal refer

‘Tank Unit’ removal process).

9. Disconnect electrical connections of the suction

unit.

10.Remove fuel tank from vehicle

NOTE

Make sure breather line quick connector is not

getting stuck up during its removal along with tank.

Seals and gasket not to be reused.

INSPECTION

Check all hoses and pipes connected to fuel

pump for leaks, loose connections,

deterioration or damage. Replace if necessary.

Check fuel pump and passive side suction unit

module gaskets for leaks, cracks etc. Replace

if necessary.

Visually inspect fuel tank for leaks and

damage. Replace if necessary.

FITMENT

For fitment follow removal procedure in reverse.

2) TANK UNIT

REMOVAL

CAUTION

Unless replacement is necessary, Tank unit, fuel

level sensor should not be removed from the tank

since the rubber parts i.e. gasket, seals etc. may

harden when exposed to air and light.

Never apply an excessive force to the tank unit

nipple or lead wire. This may result in bent or poor

contact.

1. Relieve fuel pressure in fuel feed line.

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

3. Fold the 2

row Seat and somersault it to

access the in tank pump cut out.

4. Lift the carpet with foam at the cutout.

5. Remove mounting screw and open fuel

inspection cover.

6. Disconnect the electrical connection of the fuel

pump module.
