7. Remove the Intake valve and exhaust Valve
from cylinder head.
8. Remove the valve guide.

NOTE
When removing the valves, valve springs
and retaining components, note the
location of each and keep these
components together so the valves,
springs and retaining components are
installed in the same location in the
cylinder head during reassembly.

9. Move the valve spring compressor rail to the
exhaust side of the cylinder head.
10. Repeat the procedure for exhaust port, noting
the locations and components for each valve
for proper reassembly.
IX. Removal of Cylinder Block Sub-
Assemblies
1. Lock the balancer shaft in the bedplate using
a locking bolt as shown below.
2. Remove the two mounting counter sunk
screw and take out the thrust washer.
3. Remove the Balancer Mass with locating pin
in balancer shaft by removing the mounting
bolt.
