MIL ON 1 (MIL Off after 3 warm up cycle (Drive cycle with 22

degrees of coolant temperature))

Fault Detection Condition (Root cause)

Fault is set when data for when the number of blocks that

could not be read from memory media is greater

or equal to 3.

Component Details:

EMS ECU controls the engine functions and some vehicle functions with the help of Sensor

information and actuator control. Memory chips in EMS ECU plays a crucial part in storing the software and operating the

applications.

Preliminary Checks:

1. Check whether the customer voice / view about the issue is matching with the fault effects mentioned in above

Table. If yes, go ahead with next steps. If not, check for other DTC’s presence.

2. Check whether other customers report similar complaints earlier. If yes, perform the preliminary checks with

respect to earlier issue closure.
