coordinator in case of a standard ICO

MIL ON1, Engine functionality not guaranteed

Fault Effects (On Vehicle)

Engine functionality not guaranteed

Lamp Status (If Any)

MIL ON 1 (MIL Off after 3 warm up cycle (Drive cycle with 22

degrees of coolant temperature))

Fault Detection Condition (Root cause)

The un−debounced defect detection takes place in the

standard ICO mode with an ICO requested and an engine

speed greater than 1500 RPM. The un−debounced defective

detection takes place in the comfortable ICO mode with

requested ICO and an engine speed greater than 1600 RPM.

Normal Operating Condition

The un−debounced healing takes place in the standard ICO

mode with an ICO requested and an engine speed lesser than

or equal to 1500 RPM. The un−debounced healing takes

place in the comfortable ICO mode with an ICO requested

and an engine speed lesser than or equal to 1600 RPM.

Probable Trouble Area

Engine speed greater than shutoff threshold.

Component Details:

EMS ECU controls the engine functions and some vehicle functions with the help of Sensor information and

actuator control. Memory chips in EMS ECU plays a crucial part in storing the software and operating the applications.

Preliminary Checks:

1. Check whether the customer voice / view about the issue is matching with the fault effects mentioned in above

Table. If yes, go ahead with next steps. If not, check for other DTC’s presence.

2. Check whether other customers report similar complaints earlier. If yes, perform the preliminary checks with

respect to earlier issue closure.

3. Check whether there are oil leakages in Turbo charger. If yes, rectify.
