Vehicle will not function as per design intent.

Vehicle will not function as per design intent.

Lamp Status (If Any)

CE Lamp, MIL OFF

Fault Detection Condition (Root cause)

This fault gets logged when the Variant Coding activity is

failed at EOL station due to incorrect writing of variant code.

Variant Configuration Not performed.

Normal Operating Condition

Variant Coding activity will be successful at TML EOL

Probable Trouble Area

Manual error in entering variant code, EOL tool faulty, EMS

ecu.

Preliminary Checks:

1. Check whether the customer voice / view about the issue is matching with the fault effects mentioned in above

Table. If yes, go ahead with next steps. If not, check for other DTC’s presence.

2. Check whether other customers report similar complaints earlier. If yes, perform the preliminary checks with

respect to earlier issue closure.

3. Check whether Variant code is written as per the Specification provided to EOL team.

Trouble Shooting:

Go to step 2

Write the variant

code for the

Vehicle variant

correctly.

Check whether the EOL tool is sending the information

properly to EMS ecu?

Go to step 3

Replace EOL tool

If the fault still persists?

Replace EMS ECU

Repeat the above

procedure for fault

Confirmation.
