U0100-08:- Lost communication with ECM- Message Timeout Failure

Customer Symptom

Reduced climate control functionality and performance.

Fault Effects (On Vehicle)

Reduced climate control functionality and performance.

Lamp Status (If Any)

1) The lost communication with ECM/PCM "A" DTC is in active state in fault

memory.

2) The HVAC outputs (motors and compressor request signal) should be

functional using default data values[As mentioned in SSTP_1237].

3) CAN communication should be normal but ECM/PCM "A" node message

should disappear.

4) The lost communication with ECM/PCM "A" DTC is in passive state in fault

memory.

5) The HVAC outputs (motors and compressor request signal) should be

respond to the panel request.

6) CAN communication should be normal.

Fault Detection Condition

1.

ECM connector is not connected properly or disconnected from its

location

2.

CAN Stub wire from ECM connector side is disconnected.

3.

ECM ECU is not powered up.

Normal Operating Condition

ECM ECU communicates properly TML diagnostic Tool.

Probable Trouble Area

Disconnection of the ECM connector

Healing Condition

To fix the ECM connector correctly and Fix the wiring harness issues from ECM

side.
