Customer Symptom

System is less responsive to user control and environmental

conditions

Fault Effects (On Vehicle)

1)

If Motor learning is in process, end stops will not be

learnt properly

2)

Motor will not be positioned accurately

Lamp Status (If Any)

When Air inlet feedback signal STS is detected, motor will

stay at current position. Thereafter if any new user

request/AUTO comes, motor will be driven on Time basis.

Fault Detection Condition

Fresh/RECIRC Door Control Motor Feedback Line - Circuit

short to battery or open

Normal Operating Condition

With the Fresh/RECIRC feedback line connected to the

harness and with Ignition ON, check the voltage between

pin no 13 of blue connector & ground. The voltage range

should be in between 0.4 to 4.47 V

Probable Trouble Area

1) Sensor connector is not connected firmly (open)

2) Sensor signal short to Battery

Healing Condition

If there is a continuity between the Air Inlet door actuator

Feedback line and Battery line correct the wiring harness

(wiring harness short to battery)

Component Details:

The recirculation/fresh air selector door actuator motor controls the position of the door which allows fresh air or

recirculation air, or a combination of the two, into the vehicle. The motor is mounted on the recirculation /fresh

air duct.

Preliminary Checks:

Switch On the IGN & perform the following check.

1)

Connect the Diagnostics tool & check the DTC fault code

2)

Read ECU parameter value

Target Position of Air-Inlet Door

Flap

and

AI Door flap Position (Internal Value)

for

actual and target position of Actuator
