Troubleshooting:-
Start
Connect Diagnostic tool and Check for DTCs.
Is
DTC B1649 – 12
present?
Disconnect vehicle battery connection.
(Please follow the safety guidelines)
Yes
Stop
No
Check DTC present is Current or Historic
Is
History?
Yes
No
1. Clear the DTC from memory
2. Turn IGN OFF.
3. Turn ON IGN.
Check PEPS connector for terminal
backout.
Are
connectors
loose?
1. Remove PEPS Connectors.
2. Perform visual check of connectors for pins bent or
damaged etc.
Reconnect connectors firmly
Yes
No
Is
connector
faulty?
Correct connector fault
(Terminals Bend)
Check continuity between PEPS mating connector pin
[C2-15]
(Harness side) with battery
[C3-9/10]
Yes
No
Continuity
Found?
Correct PEPS mating
connector Side wiring harness
(Short to Battery)
Yes
No
Check if ACC Relay feedback
Line of ACC relay is shorted to
battery.
Continuity
Found?
Correct ACC Relay side wiring
harness (Short to Battery)
PEPS ECU faulty
Replace PEPS ECU.
Yes
No
