EBD – Depends on fault type, ABS & ESP – Not Available
Lamp Status (If Any)
ABS – ON, EBD – Depends on fault type, ESP – ON
Fault Detection Condition
Implausible continuous control of ABS controller (Full system
in standby) or Emergency Brake (EBD available).
Emergency Brake:
This failure occurs when emergency brake is applied, as no
longer the pressure regulation possible due to cable from the
emergency break
Normal Operating Condition
ABS is functional in between 10 to 16V
Probable Trouble Area
Continuous ABS/EBD control for long time at one or
more wheels.
Continuous ESP control occurs for a long time
Emergency brake application detected, Applied
Emergency brake interfering with ESP ECU
interventions
Incorrect WSS tooth count
Permanent bad signal from WSS
Wrong signals from yaw rate sensor (YRS) or
steering angle sensor (SAS) or lateral acceleration
sensor (AYS)
Healing Condition
Fault Replacement/ECU Replacement

Confirm that emergency brake is not applied when the failure was observed, check with emergency brake
disengaged.
