Customer Symptom
Rear Wash motor is always ON even though user not
request through switch
Fault Effects (On Vehicle)
1. Wash motor always ON can cause motor
burning.
Lamp Status (If Any)
NA
Fault Detection Condition
This fault will be logged with IGN ON.
Normal Operating Condition
IGN ON and No DTC logged when rear wash operated
Probable Trouble Area
1. BCM connector Fault.
2. Rear harness Short to Ground.
3. Motor fault.
4. ECU fault.
Healing Condition
1. Switch request after fault removal
2. Clear DTC command- No DTC logged
Component Details:
BCM directly provides +12 V to Rear wash motor to switch ON the motor when switch is requested.
Preliminary Checks:
1. Check Battery Voltage (9V-16V)
2. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage.
