start
Connect Diagnostic tool and Read
DTC. Switch ON front wash and read
DTC.
Is DTC
B223A-11
NO
YES
Stop
Remove Vehicle Battery connections.
(Please follow safety guidelines)
1) Remove BCM connector and check for backout/ pins bend/
damages.
Yes
Check continuity between
1) BCM connector B pin 16 and body GND in the harness
connector
2) BCM connector B pin 16 and Conn A pin 34/ 47
Yes
Correct the wiring
harness short and open
circuit reconnect the
vehicle battery and
BCM
Remove the Washer motor connector
and check for continuity from
connector B pin 16 to Wash motor
conn pin1.
Is continuity
observed
Yes
No
Correct the wiring
harness short/
open circuit and
reconnect the
vehicle battery and
BCM
Check continuity between rear wash
motor pin1 and pin2
Yes
Replac
e the
motor
No
No
Any fault
observed
Correct the fault
Any continuity
observed
No
Is continuity
observed
B223A-11 Rear washer short to GND
Replace
the ECU
