Customer Symptom
1. Front Fog Lamp always ON.
Front Fog Facia Switch telltale always ON
Fault Effects (On Vehicle)
Battery drain
Lamp Status (If Any)
Always ON
Fault Detection Condition
This fault gets logged by BCM when Front Fog Lamp
output is short to ground during OFF state
Normal Operating Condition
If the IGN is ON and headlamps / position lamps are ON
then front fog lamps shall turn ON immediately after
pressing the front fog lamp switch.
Probable Trouble Area
1. BCM connector Fault
2. Front wiring harness (front fog lamp output wire
short to ground)
3. Lamp damaged
4. BCM ECU fault
5. Front fog lamp connector fault
Healing Condition
1. Ignition OFF
ON
2. Clear DTC Command
Component Details:
Front fog lamps are located at front side of vehicle. If the IGN is ON and headlamps / position lamps
are ON and user presses the front fog lamp switch then front fog lamps will turn ON.
Preliminary Checks:
1. Check Battery Voltage (9V-16V)
2. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage.
