P1E00 - 23: - ESS switch- Signal Stuck Low
START
Connect Diagnostic tool and check for DTCs
Is DTC P1E00 - 23
present?
STOP
NO
Check DTC present is Permanent or Historic
Is Historic?
1. Activate ESS switch input and deactivate
it.
2. Clear the DTC from memory
Is DTC P1E00 -
23 present?
YES
NO
Check DTC present is Permanent or Historic
YES
NO
Disconnect vehicle battery connection.
(Please follow the safety guidelines)
Check BCM / ESS switch connectors for terminal
backout
Are connectors loose?
Reconnect connectors firmly
YES
1.Remove BCM side wiring harness Connector.
2.Perform visual check of connectors for pins bent or damaged etc.
