Customer Symptom
ESS operation does not function.
Fault Effects (On Vehicle)
User will not be able to operate ESS function
Lamp Status (If Any)
NA
Fault Detection Condition
This fault gets logged by BCM; if signal stuck low condition is
detected for ESS switch.
Normal Operating Condition
If the IGN is ON, engine shall start/stop when ESS switch
pressed.
Probable Trouble Area
1. BCM connector Fault
2. ESS switch input wire Short to ground.
3. Switch damaged or stuck
4.BCM ECU fault
Healing Condition
3. Ignition OFF
ON
4. Clear DTC Command

3. Check Battery Voltage (12.5 V & above)
4. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage.
