Customer Symptom
Front Wiper is always operate in High speed mode
when user request low speed mode through combi
switch.
Fault Effects (On Vehicle)
1.
Front Wiper will always operate in high speed
mode when requested.
Lamp Status (If Any)
NA
Fault Detection Condition
This fault will logged with IGN ON
Normal Operating Condition
IGN ON and No DTC logged. Front wiper operated in low
speed and high speed as per switch request.
Probable Trouble Area
1. BCM connector Fault.
2. Front harness Short to Ground.
3. Relay fault.
4.
ECU fault.
Healing Condition
1.
Switch request after fault removal
2.
Clear DTC command- No DTC logged
Component Details:
BCM drives the wiper motor in Low/ High speed through this relay(speed selection) by providing GND to the relay coil.
Hence in case this output is shorted to GND the relay will be continuously ON(If the relay is ON, it will drive the wiper
motor in Fast speed). Hence whenever User will switch ON the wiper, the wiper motor will switch ON in fast speed mode.
Preliminary Checks:
1. Check Battery Voltage (9V-16V)
2. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage.
