Customer Symptom
Front Wiper is always OFF even though not requested
through switch.
Fault Effects (On Vehicle)
1.
Wiper motor is always OFF.
Lamp Status (If Any)
NA
Fault Detection Condition
This fault will logged with IGN ON and user operates
combi switch to wiper low speed position.
Normal Operating Condition
IGN ON and front wiper operates when requested through
switch.
Probable Trouble Area
1. BCM connector Fault.
2. Front harness Short to Ground.
3. Relay fault.
4.
ECU fault.
Healing Condition
1.
Switch request after fault removal
2.
Clear DTC command- No DTC logged
Component Details:
BCM drives the wiper motor through this relay by providing GND to the relay coil. Hence in case this output is shorted to
BATT the relay will be continuously OFF even though user requests wiper ON.
Preliminary Checks:
1. Check Battery Voltage (9V-16V)
2. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage.
Trouble Shooting:-
