B1306 - 11: Left Rear Door Ajar Switch - Circuit Short to Ground

B1306 - 11
Customer Symptom
1. The IC shows Rear Left door as open status, even if
the Rear Left door is closed as presumed by the
customer.
2. Interior Roof lamp in Auto mode selection will ON for
10 minutes.
3. The Mis-lock sound occurs on RKE lock command.
Fault Effects (On Vehicle)
1. Unnecessary battery power consumption (because
Interior Roof lamp in Auto mode selection will always
ON for 10 minutes.)
2. The vehicle will not enter into arm state, when RKE
lock is given and no alarm functionality will work.
Lamp Status (If Any)
1. Interior Roof lamp in Auto mode selection will ON for
10 minutes.
2. Rear Left door telltale status on IC shows always ON.
Fault Detection Condition
This fault will be logged after the input switch test routine
execution. User has to operate the switch manually during
routine. If short to ground fault is detected for Left Rear Door
Ajar Switch, then this DTC code will be returned with the
Routine results.
Normal Operating Condition
There should not be any fault returned by routine
Probable Trouble Area
1. BCM connector Fault
2. Left side wiring harness short to ground
3. Left Rear Door Ajar Switch is damaged or stuck or
faulty
4. BCM ECU fault
Healing Condition
1. Ignition OFF
ON
2. Clear DTC Command
Component Details:
Rear Left door Switch, BCM connector
Functionality:
If the Rear Left door Switch is Short to Ground, then the Rear Left door state is in opened/ ajar state.
If the Rear Left door is opened, then BCM shall receive the feedback of Rear Left door as open/ ajar status.
Preliminary Checks:
1. Check Battery Voltage (9V-16V)
2. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage.
