3A.1.1.4 MAINTENANCE , INSPECTION AND
TESTS
NOTE :
In all the procedures in this section the image is
followed by the coresponding writeup .
A. ENGINE OIL REPLACEMENT

New and used engine oil can be hazardous.
Q
The said procedure should be performed with
ENGINE NOT RUNNING.
INSPECT
Q
Before draining engine oil, check engine for any
oil leakage. If any leakage is found make a note
of it and repair or replace the defective part before
refilling the engine oil.
ENGINE OIL DRAIN
1. Position the car on a two post lift.
(Refer “Position car on two post Lift”)
2. Open the Engine Oil filling Cap.
3 Position a suit able container for collecting the
drained Engine oil below the oil Sump drain plug.
4. Loosen and remove oil sump drain plug with the
help of a suitable Allen key.
5. Drain Engine oil in the container placed in step 3.
6. After draining the oil completely , wipe the drain
plug and reinstall the drain plug.
NOTE
When replacing the Engine Oil, allow the oil to drain
completely and then refill it with new oil after ensuring
that drain plug is reinstalled.
