3. Overhauling of clutch cover assembly is not

recommended. Before fitment, assembly

should be checked against specification and

for damage to pressure plate assembly.

4. Ensure that the clutch lining material is not

contaminated with oil or grease as this shall

result in clutch slipping.

NOTE

It is

must

to replace clutch disc with cover

assembly as a set for any of the above

mentioned

defects.

Also it is

must

to replace the concentric slave

cylinder assembly as a whole with throw out

bearing if the bearing is damaged or worn out.

5. Check the bearing for damage or abnormal

noise.

CAUTION

Ensure that the clutch facing material is not

contaminated with oil or grease as this shall result

in clutch slipping.

D. CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER REMOVAL

1. Disconnect the battery connections.

2.

Remove the splash guard and drain the

clutch fluid from the hydraulic adapter.

(For

procedure refer clutch fluid draining

procedure in this section.)

3. Pull out the clip using a screw driver and

disconnect the high pressure line from clutch

master cylinder by pulling it out.

NOTE

After disconnecting the high pressure line, plug

the CMC opening with suitable cap to avoid entry

of any contaminants.

4. Disconnect the hose connecting clutch

master cylinder by removing the clamp.

NOTE:

Collect the fluid from the fluid reservoir in a clean

container. OR Ensure that fluid does not fall from

the hose.
