ON VEHICLE SERVICE

WARNING

Always work on the air bag module from the side.

Always carry the module with the cover side upper-

most or away from the body in case being carried

vertically. Do not attempt to repair, open or apply

power (Multimeter) to the air bag module terminals.

CAUTION

Disconnect the battery negative lead.

REMOVAL

NOTE:

For Vehicles with ESP, Steering Angle Sensor

(SAS) Calibration has to be done after Wheel

Alignment.

Park the car with front wheel in straight ahead

position. Apply parking brake and place wheel

chokes at rear wheels.

Disconnect Battery.

1. Insert & Push the screw driver from bottom cover

to disengage DAB snap at 6'o clock side of

steering wheel.

2. Rotate steering wheel in 90-degree clockwise

direction, insert and push screw driver from bot-

tom cover to disengage DAB snap.

3. Rotate steering wheel in 180 degree anticlock-

wise direction, insert and push screw driver from

bottom cover to disengage DAB snap.

4. Disconnect electrical connectors of air bag in-

flator and horn from DAB after removal of the

plastic clamp provided for the inflator connector.
