8.4.3 DIAGNOSTIC INFORMATION AND PROCEDURES FOR ALL LAMPS

CONDITION

1.HEAD LAMP

Single head lamp

1. Grounding point loose.

1.Tighten the grounding properly.

2. Head Lamp connector loose.

2.Fix the connector properly.

3. Fuse Blown

3.Check and replace fuse if blown.

Single head lamp

RH or LH

) not

working in high/low

beam properly

1. High/Low beam filament in the bulb

blown.

1. Replace bulb.

2. High/Low beam terminal (

Pink/Blue wire

)

has come out of the connector.

2. Insert the terminal into the

connector properly.

3. Fuse Blown

3.Check and replace fuse if blown.

Both lamps not

working in high/low

beam

1. Head lamp high/low beam fuse in engine

relay and fuse box loose/blown.

1. Fix the fuse in the base properly. If

blown, check for short in the circuit

and then replace the fuse.

2. Connectors at master light switch loose/

connector from main W/H to cockpit W/H

loose

2. Fix the connectors properly.

3. High

I

Low beam switch in master light

switch faulty.

3. Replace master light switch.

4. BCM connector loose.

4. Fix the connector properly.

5. Relay faulty.

5. Replace relay.

High beam does not

come on when flash

switch is activated

1. Connectors at combi switch loose.

1.Fix the connectors properly.

2. Flash switch faulty.

2.Replace combi switch.

3. High beam bulb blown.

3.Replace bulb.

4. High beam relay faulty.

4.Replace relay.

5. Check if High beam warning lamp

(telltale) in IPC is working with Flash or

High beam on

a. if it is working then point no 3 and 4

b. if not working then point no 1 and 2

and 5

5. Check wire back out near BCM

connector for pins (refer service

schematics)

2.FRONT TURN SIGNAL LAMPS

Front right/left signal

lamps not working

1. Grounding point loose.

1. Tighten the grounding properly.

2. Connector at the lamp loose

2. Fix the connector properly.

3. Bulb loose/fused.

3. Fix the bulb properly. Replace bulb

if blown.

4. BCM output or input wire is open

4. Repair the wiring harness.

5. Wiring harness short circuited

5. Repair the Wiring harness.

3.REVERSE LAMPS

Reverse lamp not

working

1. Grounding point loose.

1. Tighten the grounding properly.

2. Bulb loose/fused.

2. Fix the bulb properly. Replace bulb

if blown.

3. Harness Damage

3. Check connections from Chassis

Harness to Main wiring Harness to

Floor LH to Bumper Harness

4. Relay Faulty

4.Check Reverse lamp relay (for AT

vehicles only)
