4 DLT ENGINE
l Clean the area of header plate where the tank
sits thoroughly
l Insert new tank packing in place without twisting
l Clinch the header plate projections with monkey
plier.
l After clinching confirm dimension of header
plate height as 10.2 to 10.6 mm.
l Fix the member support & tighten the bolts
properly.
CAUTION : -
l Tank packing shall be replaced every time, when
the tank is taken off for servicing.
l If any of the clinching projections is broken
during the clinching or releasing process,
discontinue the servicing & replace the entire
radiator by a new one.
2.5 Servicing of Pipe Component, Drain cock
pressure cap
l Replace the O rings of these component, clean
the component while reassemble
l Replace the pressure cap with new one if
leakage is through even after cleaning the filler
neck
2.6 Confirmation of Proper Sealing
l After the sealing work is over, assemble the
radiator properly.
l Subject the assembled radiator to leakage test
as per . 2.2
CAUTION : If the problem of leakage persists, it is
advisable to replace the radiator with new one
3 Radiator Installation
l Ensure that all the openings of the radiator are
closed properly except the inlet / outlet
l Install the radiator on the vehicle ensuring
proper alignment, damping etc. as applicable
l Connect the inlet and outlet pipes and clamp
them properly, Fit the fan shroud and etc.
l Fill the radiator with proper quantity of FRESH
PREMIXED COOLANT as recommended.
