FUELLEVELGAUGE(DASHBOARD):

Removal:

check fuel level gauge on dashboard for operation

as follows

Disconnect the connection on the tank unit under

rear carpet.

Check fuel gauge on cluster, Fuel gauge shows full

with ignition ON.

If needle does not show full, check fuse, wiring

connector. and fuel level gauge (Dash Board).

Replace and retest.

FUELLEVELWARNINGLIGHT:

Drain fuel tank into an approved container refer

procedure as mentioned in fuel tank removal.

Ensure that the Car is parked on level surface.

Add less than 14 liters of fuel and turn the ignition

switch ON.

The low fuel warning light should come on within

2sec.

If light comes ON go to step 5.

If light does not come ON or only comes ON dimly

check wiring .If OK, remove combination meter

and check bulb. If bulb is OK, replace fuel tank

gauge.

Add fuel so that the total fuel will be more than 14

liters and check that the light goes OFF.

if light does not go OFF, check for short circuit in

the wiring harness. IF no short circuit, replace fuel

tank gauge.

If light goesOFF, turn the keyOFF. Test is complete.
